Experience The Best of Both Worlds At The Lakeside

Being someone who absolutely loves steak, I was initially disappointed that I couldn’t make a last-minute reservation on a weekend at one of the best steak restaurants in Las Vegas, SW Steakhouse. I mean, how is that possible right? Lol I guess it was a blessing in disguise as I was able to get the best of both worlds at The Lakeside Grill. They take pride in offering “ocean-to-table” fish from the Hawaiian waters. Oven roasted lobster and crab. And of course, prime aged steak. All from the same chef, David Walzog.

Lakeside features indoor and outdoor seating by the patio based on availability. Luckily for us, it wasn’t one of those regular scorching summer nights. There was a slight breeze and the temperatures weren’t too bad. Hence, we were able to request for a table by the patio with an excellent view of the Lake of Dreams. Getting some entertainment while dining is always nice. There’s a light show every night that runs for about 5 minutes every half an hour from 8:30pm during the summertime and earlier during fall and winter seasons. Each show is uniquely different.

Starting things off with some appetizers, we wanted to try just how fresh the seafood really is. And no better way to test that than by getting something raw! Oysters of course! Being a couple of lads from a tropical country and knowing what fresh oysters taste like, it was absolutely delicious and as advertised. Leaving us wanting more but resisting the urge since we needed to save space for the main course. The caviar toast was also a treat. Although I wish it were be bigger lol

White Sturgeon Caviar Toast $12.00 each
(Persian Cucumber, Whipped Chive Butter)

Seasonal Oysters $21.00 (6 pcs.), $42.00 (12 pcs.)

Even before getting to the restaurant, we already had one thing in mind. Steak! The challenge was, selecting amongst the wide array of seafood options to pair up with our main course. To our delight, they anticipated situations like these and have steak add-ons. For the price, it was very satisfactory and a good portion.

Rib Eye 18 oz. $65.00

King Crab Oscar Add-on $25.00

Rib Eye 18 oz. $65.00 w/ Roasted Maine Lobster Add-on $39.00

The steak was juicy and very tender. The add-ons were perfect compliments to the red meat and were very flavorful. We’re definitely gonna have to try the other seafood options next time. They also have vegetarian offerings just in case you were wondering.
