WATCH: Empty Streets of Las Vegas

The only time you’ll see the strip empty or not busy is… well… never. Even during the slow season of winter, one would still see a significant amount of people on the strip. Las Vegas has definitely taken a hit from this global pandemic.

Las Vegas local Bror Fredrik packed his camera and took two long walks on the strip to show us what the experience would be. With just watching it, I already get that sense of peaceful eeriness. It made me feel like I was watching the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse.

Now, the videos are quite lengthy. So, you might want to watch them on your computer so you can utilize the forward button and skip through some parts.

According to Bror, it took him two and a half hours to complete the walk per direction. In part 1 which was filmed on March 23, 2020, just a week after our closures, he started from the Welcome to Las Vegas sign and headed towards the Strat. You’ll notice the difference with the amount of people in this first video from the second. As there are still a few out on the streets in part 1. Note that at the request of some properties, a few parts have been removed.

Part 1:

In part 2, filmed on April 13, 2020, he starts the other way around. From the Strat walking towards the Welcome to Las Vegas sign.

Part 2:

This was quite a hike that Bror made! Thanks to his efforts though, we’re able to see a complete perspective from one point of the Strip to the other amid this Corona Virus pandemic.
